I launched the Get Shit Done Club to my email list in 2020 and the response was incredible. People loved the idea, we accomplished a lot, and I still get asked about it. So, I made it better.

Businesses can absolutely survive with (some of) these tasks untouched; HOWEVER, I believe that having these basics in order opens us up to thriving when the time comes.

Jess, why should I trust you to lead a group about tasks, organization, and productivity?
Well well well...if you’re asking this question, you either know me in real life or the unorganized chaos of my daily life has bled into social media one too many times.
Why trust me? Because I suck at this shit and would rather break a few toes than deal with it. Ever heard the phrase “A good student makes a bad teacher”? I’m the bad student. This doesn’t come naturally to me and I have to work pretty hard at it to get anything done.
I think there’s something really special about doing similar work alongside others. To me, the GSDC feels like a friend offering to come over and help you clean or vice versa. There’s just something about doing boring shit with other people!
The only thing worse than doing this shit is doing it alone, so why not go all in and make a spectacle out of it 🙃
Who’s Laura and what makes her so great?
In short, Laura is a legend. She’s worked with Hank Green, VidCon, Jack Conte, Physics Girl, Johnny & Iz Harris, AsapSCIENCE, and other internet favorites!
The long version is that Laura is an operations and project manager for YouTube creators. She works with creative entrepreneurs every day and really understands us. (I felt like she was reading my diary when I reviewed the content she created for us.)
Laura is the most organized person I know and the first and only person I asked to be a part of this. Her bonus content not only helps us choose a project management app but more importantly, how to build sustainable task management practices into our daily workflows, overcome timeline bumps, get back on track, etc.
